100k Word Challenge: Days 26 and 27

Words written Day 26:  2,249

Words written Day 27:  3,087

Thoughts:  It’s official, I hate the novella I’m working on.  I don’t know why it’s such a pain to write, but I am having more fun writing fanfiction at the moment.  However, I must persist and find a way to finish it.  Out of the total words written today, only 483 went to my current novella.  I think my problem is that I’m not too familiar with writing a plot that can be contained in a novella.  I’m good at either short story length or novel length, not in between.

I might just write the sex scene next because stalling for word count is not working.  I don’t have the energy to write it, but I have more than enough tools at my disposal to get it done and make it good.  The series, once finished, is going to need a lot of editing and tweaking, but I think it’ll be good.  I’m still shooting for 20k minimum word counts for each, so it’ll still be long.

I need to find a way to balance my writing for my new fanfic ship and my original work.  my writing and publishing schedule needs to be reworked anyway because of my sick time, but I’ll figure it out.  Thank you all for listening to me through this journey.  Only four days left!  Now, I’m off to bed because I have work in the morning!

Also, my next two erotic short stories are available on Kindle for Pre-Order!

Punishing the Brat

Punishing the Brat Cover

In this story, Joseph and his wife, Regina are tired of hearing about how their adopted daughter sleeps around with the neighborhood men.  After they walk in on her having sex, they decide to punish her in the most pleasurable way possible.

Both stories go LIVE on August 30th!

I only included this here because I am too tired to make a separate blog post.

Much love, Dana Kenzi 🙂
